Tell your story.
You decide what happens next.
Share what happened, choose whether your story may become public, and decide whether outside investigators may contact you. You do not have to publish your name.
No account required · Public anonymity available · Investigator contact is optional
Your choices stay separate.
Telling your story does not automatically mean publishing your name, speaking with law enforcement, or making your report public. Those are separate decisions.
Publication
Choose whether your account may be published, shared only with investigators you authorize, or kept private for now.
Identity
Choose whether the public sees no name, an alias, your first name, or your full name.
Contact
Decide whether nobody may contact you, whether you will accept secure messages, or whether you want to provide confidential contact information.
Independent by design.
Nye Voices Project is not affiliated with the Nye County Sheriff's Office, Nye County government, any political campaign, any law-enforcement agency, or any fraternal organization.
A public story can be read by anyone. Private access is different: organizations do not receive a general account that lets them browse confidential reports.
How privacy works →How it works
1. Tell us what happened.
Use your own words. You do not need legal terminology, perfect dates, or supporting documents to begin.
2. Choose what happens next.
Decide whether your account stays private, may be reviewed by investigators you authorize, or may be considered for public publication.
3. Stay in control.
Where the system allows it, you can return later to add information or change future contact and disclosure permissions.
WHY THIS EXISTS
Built because people needed somewhere independent to speak.
Nye Voices Project was founded by Don Hinton after people began reaching out to him with firsthand accounts and concerns involving sexual misconduct, abuse of authority, retaliation, and fear of reporting through ordinary channels.
Don has been publicly outspoken about accountability in Nye County. Nye Voices does not hide that history. It also does not treat a submission as proof of guilt or operate as Don's personal accusation page. Reports are handled under the same privacy and editorial standards regardless of who is accused.
