You choose the path.
Standard confidential reporting asks one understandable question at a time. Maximum-anonymity reporting uses a separate Tor-based intake route, outside this workflow.
1. Choose standard confidential reporting.
The steps below apply to standard confidential reporting.
2. Tell your story.
Write in your own words. Exact dates and legal terminology are not required.
3. Add context if you want.
Approximate date, general location, people or organizations involved, and supporting information can be added when available.
4. Decide whether it may become public.
Public publication, authorized investigators only, or private for now.
5. Choose how you are identified.
Anonymous, alias, first name, or full name when publication is authorized.
6. Choose who may contact you.
No contact, secure relay, or confidential direct contact.
7. Review your choices before submitting.
The final confirmation will show what is public, what remains private, and which investigator permissions you selected.
Nothing is published automatically.
